June 2006 Board Meeting

In June, the Milagro Foundation Board met to distribute $207,000 to 29 agencies supporting children around the world. The Milagro Foundation has now supported children and youth in 35 states and 30 countries by granting $2,298,204.00 to 305 agencies working with children and youth. Among our grantees this month are: Marian Wright Edelman's Freedom Schools in New Orleans ($64,000,) Todos Juntos Asociacion Civil in Argentina, a dental program for the children living in the slums of Buenos Aires ($2000), KIPP San Francisco Bay Academy, a college prep school ($5000), The Hannah Project, a collaborative to help improve graduation rates and college attendance of Marin City high schoolers. ($3500.)
