Milagro Foundation has a new vision
After eight years of funding more than 300 agencies working with children and youth in 35 states and 30 countries and granting over $2,300,000.00 to these grass roots organizations, the Board of Directors of the Milagro Foundation has voted to repurpose our vision. Milagro will no longer accept grant requests. The Milagro Foundation will continue to serve underrepresented children around the world in the areas of health, education and art, but we will select the foundations and agencies we fund from an internal process. In early October of this year, Carlos and Deborah visited South Africa with a delegation of artists and activists. Spending time in townships and in the Constitutional Court, meeting Nelson Mandela and touring Robben Island with Ahmed Kathrada gave the Santanas a new vision of poverty in the world. With the joy and dedication of their dear friend and mentor, Archbishop Tutu, they are re-dedicating Milagro to sing new songs of healing through the generosity of donations from the Santana Band, fans and friends. Milagro’s funding will not decrease, but will expand the impact of its programs to encourage others to take action to heal our world. Thank you for continuing your own journey to touch the lives of children and youth. For more updated information about our new direction, please visit our FAQ page on this website.
